Blueberry Compote

A fruit compote is a colorful fruity sauce that has been stewed in a mixture of sugar and lemon that creates a decedent syrup to accompany cheesecake, waffles, ice cream or any other dessert you're enjoying.

What you'll need:
2 cups frozen wild blueberries
1/4 cup sugar
3 Tbsp water
1 tsp lemon juice

How to make it:
Combine the frozen blueberries and sugar in a saucepan and bring to a simmer over medium heat. Cook down for about 10-15 minutes.

Add in the water and lemon juice when it starts to reduce and thicken.

Stir and smash the blueberries with a spatula until it is to your liking. Feel free to add a little more liquid if it becomes too thick.

Serve warm with cheesecake, waffles, ice cream or any other dessert you're enjoying.
