Taco Seasoning

Taco Tuesdays… any taco day is our favorite day of the week! The obvious reasons to make your own seasoning are you know exactly what's in it, you control the flavor profile, and you won’t feel bloated from high amounts of sodium that comes in packaged seasonings - and not to mention all of the health benefits of these spices individually!

Certainly adjust to your liking; I eyeball these measurements. Use organic seasonings if you have them.

What you'll need:
1 Tbsp garlic powder
1 Tbsp onion powder
1 Tbsp cumin
1 1/2 tsp oregano
1 1/2 tsp chili powder
1 1/2 tsp paprika
1/2 tsp cayenne (if you like a little heat)
1 1/2 tsp salt
1 tsp pepper

How to make it:
Mix together in an empty spice jar (or other small jar with lid).

Use 2 Tbsp per 1 pound of beef. Add toward the end of browning the meat and let it simmer for a couple minutes before serving. Add a splash of water if needed to help distribute flavors. Taste and adjust as needed.

Happy taco day!
